Kokoda Poster Activity
1. Create a table in your exercise books, and list in two columns (poster A, poster B) what you can see in each poster.
2. Based on what you can see in Poster B, what is the purpose of the poster? Does it have a particular theme? 3. What is Poster A about, and how is it different to Poster B? 4. Poster B shows the topography of the Kokoda Track. Examine the slopes in the poster and identify the highest and lowest points. What does this suggest about the environment in which the Australian troops fought? 5. Examine the background images and topography of Poster B. What does this tell us about the challenges the troops faced on the Kokoda Track? |
